Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Datuk Azam Baki, today confirmed that the corruption investigation papers against Judge Mohd Nazlan Ghazali are now back in the hands of the MACC.
The case related to the Judge of Mahathir’s choice, Mohd Nazlan Ghazali, who was investigated by both the PDRM and MACC agencies on charges of accepting bribes is now a question for the people because this case has a great impact on the case involving Datuk Seri Najib Razak because when he sentenced DSNR, he already had the status of “corrupt” but this information was only known by the defense later.
At the beginning of the year, the MACC made a statement that the investigation had been completed and the investigation papers had been submitted to the Attorney General’s chambers.
Then, when many parties questioned the status of the investigation, at the beginning Attorney General Idrus Harun stated that he would examine the paper.
And, in the past few weeks, the AG said that the papers were no longer with him.
Recently, the mystery was unravelled when MACC Director General Datuk Azam Baki confirmed that the papers had returned to his office for further action.
What is the status of the paper?
Will Nazlan be prosecuted, or will the MACC be ordered to close the case?
There is a lot of mystery when it comes to those who are related to Tun Mahathir’s government.
For information, the status of the investigation paper against Bank Negara Governor Zeti Aziz is also unknown.
